My Husband Needs a Job and I Want to Help Him

My husband has a very impressive resume. He graduated at the top of his class in high school. Then he decided to give back to our country and served in the Air Force. After that he went to college and got his Bachelor's Degree, graduating with a near perfect Grade Point Average. And if that were not enough, he went to school again, this time to get his Master's in Business. But, now my husband needs a job. He worked in his field for several years, but like so many other people these days, he got laid off.

So, now I want to do whatever I can to help him. I will admit that I have an ulterior motive. I have been a stay at home mom for years and I would like to do whatever I can to make sure that I do not have to go back to work. So, now that my husband needs a job, I have been reaching out to as many people as I can think of. Since I have been home, I have met a lot of people in my town so I have put out as many feelers as I can and emailed his resume to everyone that I know, so hopefully something will pan out for him.

Does Stallworth need to be compared to the likes of a Michael Vick?

I posted an article Saturday about the fatal accident that Donte Stallworth was involved. I really have not heard much from the main stream. I guess with the NCAA tournament coming up the sportswriters have enough to write about these days.

The question at hand is: Does Donte now get put in the category with many other irresponsible Pro-Football players or was this just an accident and he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time? Was this pedestrian looking to get run over? In this economic time we live in that is all too possible.

I give people the benefit of the doubt and I think it was just an accident and let's get on with life. I feel very sad for the victim that died but an accident is an unscheduled event that touches many lives. I do not want any one to think there are no consequences over this event, there are and yet to be determined.

I just don't think that Donte should be labeled good for nothing football player. This certainly does not rank any where near the Michael Vick case or the New York Giant that shot himself in the foot or the likes of a Pacman Jones. Let Donte get on with his life with a safe driving class and community service and be done with it.

Thanks Jeff

Donte Stallworth involved in a Fatal Accident

It was reported that Donte Stallworth was involved in a fatal accident where he struck and killed a pedestrian. The accident occurred on the road leading from Miami to Miami beach.

Stallworth hit the 49 year old man on his way to Miami beach as reported by a Miami Beach police spokesperson. The man was rushed the emergency room and died about an hour later. It was not clear if the man was in a crosswalk. Stallworth was not charged.

Donte, 28 was tested for drugs and alcohol but the police reported that it was too early to tell if he was impaired at the time of the accident. It has yet to be determined if he broke any traffic laws.

Donte has played with 3 teams since being drafted in the first round of the 2002 draft. He has played for New Orleans, New England and Philadelphia. He just signed a 7year deal with Cleveland for 35 million dollars. He was injured most of last season catching only 17 balls.

The Cleveland organization sent a message stating they know of the situation in Miami and would comment furthur when more details were revealed.

Again, Donte Stallworth struck and killed a 49 year old man Saturday morning. There is an on going investigation but no criminal charges have been sought.
